The centre of expertise Interaction Design IXD took one step forward as the new testing environment at Fontys School of ICT at Strijp-TQ, Eindhoven, is now fully operational. Runners can use the treadmill. Speakers are reflecting on their movements with sounds and body sensors measure the effect of that feedback.
The new sonification laboratory was created with the help of research partner InnoSportLab Sport & Beweeg!
The equipment seems rather squeezed in into a room at Strijp-TQ, but the new lab has exactly all that is needed, according to researcher Bernd-Jan Witkamp (photo).
